 Our Military and all of their family members made plenty of sacrifices while in service before returning to civilian life to become an integral part of our society that owns nearly 2.5M businesses in the United States, employ more than 5M people and generate more than $1T in sales and receipts annually. As a small thanks for their service we have compiled a list of organizations and initiatives resources that are dedicated to helping the whole military family.  We will continuously expand this glossary of valuable tools and organizations, so if you have recommendations for organizations, online communities, or tools that we should include, we welcome your ideas here

Education Assistance
National Military Family Association (NMFA) can help fund education, career, or business goals for military spouses. NMFA awards can be used for a variety of educational and employment pursuits. Scholarship funds on average are $500-$1,000 and can be used towards degrees, certifications, licensure, clinical supervision for mental health licensure, CEUs, business expenses and more! For more information visit  National Military Family Association (NMFA)
Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation mission is to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.  For more information visit  Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation 
Trailhead Military: connects members to free training, certifications, and career opportunities within the Salesforce ecosystem. The program is available to active duty, reserve, guard, veterans, and military spouses. Learn more here

WI (Residents only)
Wisconsin GI Bill: passed in 2005 can provide all Wisconsin vets with extra GI Bill benefits. And for certain disabled vets, it may provide the veteran, spouse and children each with their own set of 128 credit hours of Wisconsin GI Bill benefits, which they can use at the same time as the veteran and each other. And one person in the family using their benefits doesn’t reduce anyone else’s GI Bill. For a veteran to qualify, they must have completed 2 years of active-duty service or 90 days of active-duty service during war time and must have been a Wisconsin resident for 5 consecutive years. Family members of a veteran that has at least a 30 percent disability rating. The spouse of a dead veteran cannot be remarried, and children must be between the ages of 17 and 25 on the first day of the first semester in which the Wisconsin GI Bill is being used. NY Free Tuition (Residents only)

You'd have to fit these criteria:

1. Enrolled full-time at a SUNY or CUNY school.
2. Have New York residency status for at least one year.
3. Parents (or you and your spouse) must earn an adjusted gross income of less than $100,000.The income cap raises to $110,000 in 2018 and eventually reaches $125,000 in 2019.
American Corporate Partners (ACP) is a national non-profit dedicated to helping our returning veterans build meaningful careers. Working with volunteers nationwide, ACP offers transitioning veterans one-on-one career mentorship. The organization has connected over 11,000 veterans with volunteer mentors from companies nationwide. To learn more visit ACP
